This website is operated by Skanbo GmbH (FN 97988a), hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” and “Skanbo”, with its registered office in Wels. In this privacy policy, we as the responsible party according to Art. 4 para. 7 EU-DSGVO describes which data we collect when you visit our website and for what purpose we process it. Please refer to point 15. of this privacy policy for all relevant contact details.

Since the protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us, we strictly adhere to the legal requirements of the DSG and the EU-DSGVO when collecting and processing your personal data.

In the following, we will inform you in detail about the scope and purpose of our data processing as well as your rights as a data subject. Therefore, please read our privacy policy carefully before you continue to use our website and, if applicable, give your consent to any data processing.

1 Personal data

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. However, different regulations may apply to the use of individual services, which we will point out to you separately.

Therefore, apart from the cookies described in detail below, we only collect and store the data that you yourself provide to us by entering it in our input masks or otherwise actively interacting with our website.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, address, telephone number or date of birth.

2 Use of cookies

In the case of merely informational use of our website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to visit our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you and to ensure its stability and security in accordance with the German Data Protection Act. Art. 6 par. 1 p. 1 lit. f EU-DSGVO to ensure:

In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website; these are small text files that are stored on your hard drive assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information is transmitted to the body that sets the cookie (in this case by us). At the current state of the art, cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer, but only serve to make the Internet offer more user-friendly and effective.

Our website(s) use the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below:

– Transient cookies

Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies, these store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. These session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

– Persistent cookies

Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may differ depending on the cookie. However, you can delete the cookies yourself in your browser settings at any time.

The Flash cookies we use are not collected by your browser, but by your Flash plug-in. We also use HTML5 storage objects that are stored on your terminal device. These objects store the required data regardless of the browser you use and have no automatic expiration date. You can prevent Flash cookies from being processed by installing appropriate add-ons in your browser or using it in private mode.

3 Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data that goes beyond the information stored by cookies is only processed by us if you voluntarily provide it to us, for example, when you register with us, enter into a contractual relationship with us or otherwise contact us. This is exclusively contact data as well as information about the concerns with which you approach us.

We use the personal data provided by you exclusively within the scope of fulfilling the respective purpose of the processing (e.g. registration, sending newsletters, processing an order, sending information material and advertising, processing a competition, answering a question, enabling access to certain information), and/or this is permitted by law (esp. according to Art. 6 EU-DSGVO) (e.g. sending advertising and information material to existing customers).

The purpose of processing your data is the operation of our website and the targeted provision of company-specific information including the presentation of the range of our goods and services (marketing). Any further use of your data will only take place if you have given your express prior consent. You can revoke your consent – as explained in detail below – at any time for the future.

4 Storage duration

Data that you have provided to us exclusively for customer service or for marketing and information purposes will generally be stored by us for a period of three years after our last contact. However, if you so wish, we will also delete your data before the expiry of this period, provided that there is no legal obstacle to this.

In the event of a contract being initiated or concluded, we will process your personal data after the contract has been fully processed until the expiry of the warranty, guarantee, limitation and statutory retention periods applicable to us, and furthermore until the end of any legal disputes in which the data is required as evidence.

5 Newsletter

You have the possibility to subscribe to our free newsletter. With this newsletter you will receive periodically all the latest news and information about our company and tailored advertising. To receive our newsletter, you need a valid email address.

We check the e-mail address you entered in our registration mask to ensure that you actually wish to receive newsletters. This is done by sending you an e-mail to the e-mail address you provided, the receipt of which you can confirm by clicking on a link provided. After confirmation of the e-mail you are registered for our newsletter (double opt-in).

Already with the first registration to the newsletter we store your IP address, the date and time of your registration. This is done for security reasons in case a third party misuses your email address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge. We do not collect and process any other data for the newsletter subscription, the data is used exclusively for the subscription of the newsletter.

Unless you object, we will transfer your data within our Group for the purpose of analysis and for the transmission of information for advertising purposes. Within the group of companies, your data that you have provided to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be compared with data that may be collected by us elsewhere (e.g. when purchasing goods or booking a service).

Your data for newsletter registration will not be passed on to third parties that do not belong to the group of companies. You can unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time, the details for unsubscribing can be found in the confirmation email and in each individual newsletter.

6 Tools and applications used

On our website we also set links to other websites; this is done for information purposes only. These websites are not under our control and are therefore not covered by the provisions of this privacy policy. Should you activate a link, it is possible that the operator of this website will collect data about you and process it in accordance with its privacy policy, which may differ from ours.

Our website also offers the option of interacting with various social networks via plugins. These are:

– Facebook, operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland
– Youtube, operated by Youtube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066 USA

When you click on a plugin of one of these social networks, it is activated and a connection to the respective server of this network is established. We have no influence on the scope and content of the data that is transmitted to the respective operator of this social network by clicking on the plugin.

Should you wish to inform yourself about the nature, scope and purpose of the data collected by the operators of these social networks, we recommend that you read the privacy policy of the respective social network.

7 Data transmission

As a matter of principle, your data will not be transferred to third parties unless we are legally obligated to do so, the transfer of data is necessary for the implementation of a contractual relationship concluded between us, or you have previously expressly consented to the transfer of your data. External order processors or other cooperation partners will only receive your data insofar as this is necessary for the processing of the contract or we have a legitimate interest in doing so. If one of our processors comes into contact with your personal data, we ensure that they comply with the provisions of data protection laws in the same way as we do.

We do not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties outside the Group.

If our contractual partners or order processors are based in a third country, i.e. a state outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.

8 Safety

We use numerous technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction and against access by third parties. Our security measures are constantly being improved in line with technological developments on the Internet.

9 Your rights

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act, you have the following rights and remedies as a data subject of our data processing:

Right to information (Art. 15 EU-DSGVO)

As a data subject, you have the right to request information about whether and, if so, which personal data about you are being processed. For your own protection – so that no one else receives information about your data – it may be necessary for us to verify their identity in an appropriate form.

Right to rectification (Art. 16) and deletion (Art. 17 EU-DSGVO)

You have the right to request without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you or – taking into account the purposes of the data processing – the completion of incomplete personal data as well as the deletion of your data, provided that the criteria of Art. 17 EU-DSGVO are met.

Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 EU-DSGVO)

You have the right, under the legal conditions, to restrict the processing of all personal data collected. As of the restriction request, this data will only be processed with individual consent or for the assertion and enforcement of legal claims.

Right to data portability (Art. 20 EU-DSGVO)

You may request the unimpeded and unrestricted transfer of collected personal data to a third party.

Right of objection (Art. 21 EU-DSGVO)

You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is necessary for the purposes of protecting our legitimate interests or those of a third party. Your data will no longer be processed after objection, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims. You can object to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising at any time with effect for the future.

Revocation of consent

If you have separately given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this consent at any time. Such revocation will affect the permissibility of processing your personal data after you have expressed it to us.

If you take a measure to enforce your rights under the GDPR as listed above, Skanbo shall immediately, but no later than one month after receipt of your request, comment on the requested measure or comply with the request.

We will respond to all reasonable requests within the law free of charge and as promptly as possible.

The data protection authority is responsible for requests concerning violation of the right to information, violation of the rights to confidentiality, to rectification or to deletion.

10 Retargeting

We use the functions of Google Retargeting. With the help of Google Retargeting, it is possible for us to address you again with the help of advertisements. For this purpose, cookies are stored in your browser, which Google uses to record and analyze your user behavior on various websites. This technology allows Google to determine whether you have visited our websites. According to Google, this data is not merged with personal data. In addition, according to Google, pseudonymization is used for retargeting.

Within our online offer, the so-called “Facebook pixel” of the social network Facebook is used due to our legitimate interests in analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, it is possible for Facebook to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called “Facebook ads”). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display Facebook ads only to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called “Custom Audiences”). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not have a harassing effect. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called “conversion”).

You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and use of your data to display Facebook ads. To set what types of ads are shown to you within Facebook, you can go to the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there about usage-based advertising settings. The settings are platform-independent (desktop or mobile).

11 Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a service for tracking and analyzing visitor data provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). For this purpose, text files, so-called “cookies”, are stored on your computer, which enable an analysis of the use of the website.
. This information is usually transferred to a Google server, which may be operated in the USA, and stored there. The IP anonymization function is activated for this website. This shortens their IP address before transmission. In exceptional cases, the IP address is first transmitted and then shortened by Google itself. With the help of the data obtained, Google provides the operator of the website with evaluations of the use of the website, as well as demographic data of the users.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

The storage of cookies can be disabled in the browser. However, this may also result in a limited range of functions on the website, which means that the website can no longer be used in full. 12 Google DoubleClick

Google DoubleClick is used on our websites. Cookies are used to display advertising tailored to the user. Google is hereby able to place more targeted advertising and e.g. to prevent that someone gets one and the same advertisement displayed excessively often. It is also possible to record conversions and measure the connection to previously performed actions on websites. Google states that it does not collect any personal data for this service.

Google automatically establishes a direct connection to Google servers when using these marketing tools. We have no influence on the collection and use of data by Google. To the best of our knowledge, Google receives information about which areas of our websites you have visited or which advertisements you have clicked on. If you are registered with Google, Google can link this data. But even without registration or login Google can eb. Store and process your IP address. We hereby only point out this possibility. Whether this will be done we do not know.

On this website we use the offer of Google Maps. This allows us to show you interactive maps directly in the website and enables you to use the map function comfortably.

15 Email

If you are not one of the listed addressees to whom we are sending an e-mail, you are entitled to receive an e-mail from us pursuant to Section 93 (1) of the Austrian Civil Code. 4 TKG 2003 shall neither record the content of the message nor the fact of its receipt nor disclose it to unauthorized persons or use it for any purpose. Recorded messages shall be deleted or otherwise destroyed. You are requested to notify the sender immediately by email if you have received an email in error. You are advised that a change in the content of the e-mail cannot be ruled out during transmission. Therefore, make sure that the message was transmitted without errors and contact the sender in case of doubt about the complete or error-free transmission. Skanbo GmbH assumes no liability for any changes in the content of the e-mail during transmission.

16 LinkedIn

The LinkedIn Insight tag allows you to collect data about visits to your website, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties (user agent), and timestamp. IP addresses are shortened or (if used to reach members across devices ) hashed. Members’ direct identifiers are removed within seven days to pseudonymize the data. This remaining pseudonymized data is then deleted within 180 days.
LinkedIn does not share personally identifiable information with the site owner, but only provides reports and notifications (in which you are not identified) about site audience and ad performance. LinkedIn also provides retargeting for website visitors so that the website owner can use this data to display targeted advertising outside of its website without identifying the member. We also use data that does not identify you to improve the relevance of ads and reach members across devices. LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings.
